This one hour webinar has been designed for allied health professionals who are looking to start to develop their knowledge in the world of scoliosis. Too many adolescents are still experiencing the 'wait and see' approach, or being 'missed' altogether in areas where school screening is not available. This is an introduction which includes an overview of:
1. What is Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS)
2. Classifications of AIS
3. Current treatment guidelines for AIS.
Rosemary is a physiotherapist with twenty years of experience in physiotherapy, fitness consulting and training. She is now completely dedicated to the world of Scoliosis. She has travelled overseas multiple times. She was certified in New York as a Schroth Method of Scoliosis treatment under the Barcelona School of Physical Therapy. She has also been trained in the SEAS method - the Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis. She has travelled to Dubrovnik, Croatia for the 14th Annual SOSORT meeting and also attended the 15th meeting in San Francisco in April 2019. In 2019 she visited Dr. Rigo (the head of BSPTS) in Barcelona and ISICO (Italian Spine Institute) in Milan. Rosemary is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and The International Society of Scoliosis Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Treatment (SOSORT) and has completed ISICO World Masters course (granted 'Outstanding Achievement') for scoliosis run by ISICO in Italy.
